Descripció d'un violoncel de qualitat en base al seu funcionament

Abstract

El propòsit d’aquest treball és intentar descriure quines característiques hauria de tenir un violoncel de qualitat, a partir d’un estudi del funcionament del seu mecanisme. Aquesta descripció s’ha fet en base a bibliografia relacionada amb la història i l’organologia del violoncel, a més d’entrevistes a luthiers i intèrprets que han aportat el seu coneixement empíric. S’ha observat que hi ha uns trets comuns que els instruments de qualitat solen tenir, tot i que es tracta d’un assumpte en el qual influeixen molt les necessitats i gustos de l’intèrpret i el luthier.

El propósito de este trabajo es el de intentar describir qué características debería tener un violonchelo de calidad, partiendo del estudio del funcionamiento de su mecanismo. Esta descripción se ha hecho en base a bibliografía relacionada con la historia y la organología del violonchelo, además de entrevistas a luthieres e intérpretes que han aportado su conocimiento empírico. Se ha observado que hay unos rasgos comunes que los instrumentos de calidad suelen tener, aunque se trata de un asunto en el cual influyen mucho las necesidades y gustos del intérprete y el luthier.

The purpose of this dissertation is to describe those characteristics whicha quality cello should have, based on a study on how its mechanism works. This description has been done around bibliography related to the history and organology of the cello, in addition to interviews to luthiers and players who gave their empirical knowledge. It has been observed that there are some common traits that quality instruments use to have, but it is a matter highly influenced by the needs and taste of player and maker.
